registration number by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) which is
operating a Compulsory Registration Scheme (CRS) for Electronics & IT
Goods for the product categories notified by MeitY.
- As per the Order, no person shall manufacture or store for sale, import, sell or distribute goods which do not conform to the specified Indian standard.
- Manufacturers of these products are required to apply for registration from BIS after getting their products tested from BIS recognized labs.
